This week, 7-zip (sevenzip), a free (open source) alternative to WinZip or WinRar has been made available.
7-Zip is a file archiver with the highest compression ratio.
I’ve been using 7-zip for sometime and the only feature I missed – being able to decompress more than one file at the same time – has just been added.
Each day I’m a bigger fan of free/open source software, and 7-zip is one of those applications I use and recommend.
